Vipr Slam Overview

The vipr Slam workout is a dynamic exercise routine that primarily focuses on the forearms and shoulders.

During the workout, participants use the vipr, a weighted cylindrical tool, to perform a variety of slamming movements.

While the workout may also engage secondary muscles, such as the core and legs, the main emphasis is on developing strength and endurance in the forearms and shoulders.

Vipr Slam Instructions

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding the vipr in both hands in front of your body.
  2. Bend your knees and hinge at the hips to lower the vipr towards the ground, keeping your back straight.
  3. Quickly extend your hips and knees as you swing the vipr up and overhead, using the momentum to lift it above your head.
  4. As the vipr reaches its highest point, forcefully slam it down to the ground in front of you, engaging your core and upper body.
  5. Repeat the movement in a fluid motion, using the momentum from the slam to swing the vipr back up overhead.
  6. Continue this sequence of swinging the vipr overhead and slamming it down for the desired number of repetitions.

Vipr Slam Tips

  1. Start with a proper warm-up to prepare your forearms and shoulders for the vipr Slam exercise.
  2. Engage your core muscles throughout the movement to maintain stability and prevent injury.
  3. When gripping the vipr, ensure a firm hold to activate your forearm muscles and improve grip strength.
  4. Focus on a controlled downward movement, engaging your shoulders to resist the weight of the vipr.
  5. Generate power from your hips and legs to drive the vipr upwards, engaging your shoulders and forearms in the process.
  6. Maintain proper form by keeping your shoulders down and back, avoiding excessive shrugging or rounding of the upper back.
