Medicine Ball Single Leg Chop Instructions

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a medicine ball in both hands in front of your chest.
  2. Shift your weight onto your left leg, keeping your knee slightly bent.
  3. Extend your right leg straight out in front of you, hovering it a few inches off the ground.
  4. With control, swing the medicine ball down and across your body towards your right foot, bending your left knee and rotating your torso.
  5. Return to the starting position by swinging the medicine ball back up and across your body, straightening your left knee and rotating your torso back to center.

Medicine Ball Single Leg Chop Tips

  1. Start with a light medicine ball to get the hang of the Single leg chop exercise.
  2. Stand tall with one foot slightly in front of the other, holding the medicine ball with both hands.
  3. Engage your abs and lower back by keeping your core tight throughout the exercise.
  4. As you chop down, twist your torso and bring the medicine ball towards the outside of your front foot.
  5. Make sure to keep your shoulders engaged by squeezing them back and down.
  6. Control the movement as you bring the medicine ball back up to the starting position.
  7. Repeat the exercise on the other leg to work both sides evenly.
