Xco Trainer Kayak Overview

The xco Kayak workout is a dynamic exercise routine that targets the obliques.

By incorporating the xco, a weighted tube, this workout intensifies the engagement of the oblique muscles.

The xco’s unique design creates a destabilizing effect, forcing the obliques to work harder for stability.

While the xco Kayak workout primarily focuses on the obliques, it also provides a full-body workout.

Xco Trainer Kayak Instructions

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding the xco in both hands at chest level.
  2. Engage your core muscles by pulling your belly button towards your spine.
  3. Step forward with your right foot, bending your knees and lowering your body into a lunge position.
  4. Simultaneously, extend your arms forward, pushing the xco away from your chest.
  5. Return to the starting position by pushing through your right heel and stepping back with your right foot.
  6. Repeat the movement, this time stepping forward with your left foot and pushing the xco away with your arms.
  7. Continue alternating between right and left foot lunges, pushing the xco away with each repetition.

Xco Trainer Kayak Tips

  1. Engage your obliques by maintaining a strong core throughout the xco Kayak exercise. Imagine your waistline being pulled in towards your spine, creating a deep contraction in your side muscles.
  2. Focus on the twisting motion of the exercise, using your obliques to initiate the movement. Imagine wringing out a towel, twisting your torso from side to side with control and precision.
  3. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your chest lifted during the xco Kayak exercise. This will help you maintain proper form and prevent unnecessary tension in your upper body, allowing your obliques to work more effectively.
  4. Don’t rush through the exercise! Take your time to fully engage your obliques with each twist. Slow and controlled movements will maximize the effectiveness of the exercise and help you build strength in your core.
  5. Remember to breathe! Inhale deeply as you prepare for the twist, and exhale as you rotate your torso. This rhythmic breathing will not only help you maintain focus, but also provide a natural boost of energy to power through the xco Kayak exercise.
