Plank Leg Raise (alternating) Instructions

  1. Start in a plank position with your forearms on the ground, elbows directly under your shoulders, and legs extended straight behind you.
  2. Engage your core by pulling your belly button towards your spine.
  3. Lift your right leg off the ground, keeping it straight and parallel to the floor.
  4. Hold for a moment, then lower your right leg back down to the starting position.
  5. Repeat the leg lift with your left leg, keeping it straight and parallel to the floor.
  6. Continue alternating leg lifts, maintaining a strong plank position and engaging your core throughout the exercise.

Plank Leg Raise (alternating) Tips

  1. Start in a high plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line.
  2. Engage your core by pulling your belly button towards your spine and squeezing your glutes.
  3. While keeping your hips stable, lift one leg off the ground, focusing on using your abs to control the movement.
  4. Lower the leg back down and repeat on the other side, alternating legs with each repetition.
  5. Make sure to maintain proper form throughout the exercise, avoiding any sagging or arching of the lower back.
  6. For an added challenge, try to hold each leg raise for a few seconds at the top before lowering it back down.
