Bird Dog Leg Overview

The Bird dog leg workout is a bodyweight exercise that primarily targets the abdominal muscles.

This workout involves getting on all fours and extending one leg and the opposite arm, engaging the core.

Bird Dog Leg Instructions

  1. Start in a tabletop position on your hands and knees, with your hands directly under your shoulders and your knees directly under your hips.
  2. Extend your right leg straight back behind you, keeping it parallel to the floor and your toes pointed down.
  3. At the same time, lift your left arm straight out in front of you, keeping it parallel to the floor and your palm facing inward.
  4. Hold this position for a moment, focusing on keeping your core engaged and your back flat.
  5. Return your right leg and left arm back to the starting position, and then repeat the movement on the opposite side, extending your left leg back and lifting your right arm.
  6. Continue alternating sides, performing controlled and controlled movements with your leg and arm.

Bird Dog Leg Tips

  1. Start in a tabletop position, with your hands directly under your shoulders and knees under your hips.
  2. Engage your core by pulling your belly button towards your spine.
  3. Extend your right leg straight back, keeping it in line with your hips and toes pointing towards the ground.
  4. Simultaneously, extend your left arm forward, reaching it out in line with your shoulder.
  5. Focus on maintaining a straight line from your fingertips to your toes, keeping your hips square to the ground.
  6. Hold for a few seconds, then return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
