Assisted Abdominal Bench Instructions

  4. Engage your core muscles and lift your upper body towards your knees, exhaling as you do so.
  5. Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower your upper body back down to the starting position, inhaling as you do so.

  1. Position yourself on the assisted abdominal bench with your feet secured under the pads.
  2. Place your hands behind your head, keeping your elbows wide to engage your abs.
  3. Engage your core and slowly lower your upper body towards the floor, exhaling as you go.
  4. Avoid pulling on your neck or using momentum to lift yourself back up.
  5. Focus on using your abdominal muscles to lift your upper body back to the starting position.
  6. Keep your movements controlled and avoid arching your back or using your hip flexors.
