Using the exercise ball, you start in a kneeling position and roll the ball forward, engaging your core.

While it also works secondary muscles, the focus of this workout is primarily on your abs.

Exercise Ball Ab Rollout Instructions

  1. Place an exercise ball on the floor and kneel down in front of it.
  2. Place your hands on the exercise ball, shoulder-width apart, and extend your body forward until your arms are fully extended.
  3. Engage your core muscles and keep your back straight as you slowly roll the exercise ball forward, allowing it to move away from your body.
  4. Continue rolling the ball forward until your arms are fully extended in front of you and your body is in a straight line from head to knees.
  5. Hold this position briefly, then slowly roll the exercise ball back towards your body by contracting your core muscles.
  6. Return to the starting position by pulling the exercise ball back towards your knees, keeping your core engaged and your back straight.

Exercise Ball Ab Rollout Tips

  1. Start in a kneeling position with your hands on the exercise ball, directly under your shoulders.
  2. Engage your core by squeezing your abs and glutes, creating a straight line from your knees to your shoulders.
  3. Slowly roll the exercise ball forward, extending your arms and keeping your back straight.
  4. Pause for a moment at the furthest point, feeling the stretch in your abs.
  5. Engage your abs again and use your core strength to roll the ball back to the starting position.
  6. Keep your movements controlled and avoid arching your back or letting your hips sag.
