Upper Back Instructions

  1. Adjust the seat height of the upper back machine so that your feet are flat on the ground and your knees are at a 90-degree angle.
  2. Sit down on the machine and position your chest against the padded support, making sure your back is straight.
  3. Grasp the handles with an overhand grip, keeping your hands shoulder-width apart.
  4. Exhale and pull the handles towards your chest, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  5. Inhale and slowly return to the starting position, extending your arms fully.

Upper Back Tips

  1. Start with a light weight to ensure proper form and avoid strain on your upper back muscles.
  2. Position yourself correctly on the machine by adjusting the seat and handles to align with your upper back.
  3. Focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together as you pull the handles towards your chest, engaging your upper back muscles.
  4. Breathe out as you pull the handles towards you, and breathe in as you return to the starting position.
  5. Avoid using momentum or jerking movements; instead, maintain a controlled and smooth motion throughout the exercise.
  6. Keep your chest lifted and your core engaged to support your upper back and maintain proper posture.
  7. Gradually increase the weight as you become comfortable with the exercise, ensuring that you can still maintain proper form and engage your upper back muscles effectively.
