Side Lying Leg Exorotation Overview

Side Lying Leg Exorotation Instructions

  1. Lie on your side with your legs extended straight and stacked on top of each other.
  2. Place your bottom arm straight out in front of you, palm down, for support.
  3. Engage your core muscles by drawing your belly button in towards your spine.
  4. Keeping your top leg straight, lift it as high as you can without rotating your hips or leaning back.
  5. Slowly lower your leg back down to the starting position.

Side Lying Leg Exorotation Tips

  1. Start by lying on your side with your legs stacked on top of each other. Keep your body straight and aligned.
  2. Engage your glutes by squeezing them throughout the exercise. This will help activate the muscles and make the exercise more effective.
  3. Place your top hand on the floor in front of you for support. This will help you maintain balance and stability during the exercise.
  4. Slowly lift your top leg up towards the ceiling, keeping it straight and without rotating your hips. Focus on using your glutes to lift the leg.
  5. Pause for a moment at the top of the movement, squeezing your glutes even more. This will maximize the engagement of your glute muscles.
  6. Lower your leg back down in a controlled manner, without letting it touch your bottom leg. Keep the tension in your glutes throughout the entire movement.
  7. Repeat the exercise for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides and perform the same movement with your other leg.
