The hydrovest Step off press workout is designed to primarily engage the Quads.

The hydrovest, a weighted vest, adds resistance to the exercise, intensifying the engagement of the Quads.

Hydrovest Step Off Press Instructions

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart, wearing the hydrovest securely.
  2. Hold the handles of the hydrovest with both hands, palms facing inward.
  3. Engage your core muscles and maintain a straight back throughout the exercise.
  4. Step forward with your right foot, ensuring a comfortable stride length.
  5. Lower your body by bending your knees, keeping your back straight.
  6. Continue lowering until your right knee is at a 90-degree angle.
  7. Push through your right heel to return to the starting position.

Hydrovest Step Off Press Tips

  1. Focus on maintaining proper form throughout the entire exercise. Start by standing tall with your feet hip-width apart, and engage your core muscles to stabilize your body.
  2. As you step forward with one foot, make sure to land with your heel first, then roll through your foot to push off with your toes. This will help activate your quads and ensure a smooth and controlled movement.
  3. Keep your knee in line with your toes as you lower your body down into the lunge position. Avoid letting your knee collapse inward, as this can put unnecessary strain on your joints and reduce the effectiveness of the exercise.
  4. Engage your quads by pushing through your front heel to rise back up to the starting position. Imagine driving your heel into the ground and using the power from your quads to propel yourself forward.
  5. As you step off with one foot and bring the other foot forward, focus on maintaining a steady and controlled pace. Avoid rushing through the exercise, as this can compromise your form and increase the risk of injury. Remember, quality over quantity!
