  1. Adjust the bench to a 30-45 degree incline on the Smith machine.
  2. Lie down on the bench with your back flat against it and your feet planted firmly on the ground.
  3. Grip the barbell with an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  4. Lift the barbell off the rack and lower it slowly towards your upper chest, keeping your elbows slightly tucked in.
  5. Pause for a moment when the barbell is just above your chest, then push it back up to the starting position, fully extending your arms.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the desired number of repetitions.

  1. Position yourself on the bench with your feet flat on the floor, maintaining a stable base.
  2. Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, ensuring your wrists are aligned with your forearms.
  3. Lower the bar to your chest in a controlled manner, keeping your elbows at a 90-degree angle.
  4. Drive the bar upward by pushing through your chest muscles, exhaling as you extend your arms.
  5. Focus on squeezing your chest muscles at the top of the movement for maximum engagement.
  6. Avoid locking out your elbows at the top to maintain tension on your chest throughout the exercise.
