  1. Stand facing the aerobic step with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. Step your right foot onto the step, followed by your left foot.
  3. Step your right foot down to the right side of the step, followed by your left foot.
  4. Step your left foot onto the step, followed by your right foot.
  5. Step your left foot down to the left side of the step, followed by your right foot.

  1. Start with a warm-up to get your muscles ready for action. A few minutes of light jogging or jumping jacks will do the trick.
  2. Place the aerobic step sideways and stand facing it. Keep your feet hip-width apart and your core engaged for stability.
  3. Step onto the aerobic step with your right foot, making sure your whole foot is on the step. Push through your heel to engage your quads.
  4. As you step up, swing your left leg over the step and plant it on the other side. This sideways movement targets your quads even more.
  5. Step down with your right foot, followed by your left foot. Repeat the exercise, alternating sides with each step over.
  6. Keep your movements controlled and avoid rushing. Focus on engaging your quads throughout the exercise for maximum benefit.
